The company Kappa Ceramica Konstantinos Iliadis was founded in 1965 by George Iliadis and initially produced common building bricks (optical bricks) until 1996. But from 1997 the company started to deal with the production of solid ceramic decorative products. In the first years of its operation, the quality of its products was based on the good intentions and valuable experience of its partners. Along the way, due to her specialization in special ceramic products, she was asked to collaborate with various bioclimatic construction engineers and with the Ministry of Culture for the restoration needs of various Byzantine monuments. In bioclimatic constructions the company successfully produced khurasani (special ceramic mortar) and special ceramic products. However, the demands of the market contributed to the collaboration with external scientific partners and technical services.
Konstantinos Iliadis has a lot of experience in the manufacture of ceramic products, because he has been employed in the business since he was a child. On his own initiative, the company turned to the production of special ceramic products, which in the long run justified them by taking on and completing many projects of medium and high importance.
The culmination of these was the undertaking of the project for the restoration of the world heritage monument of the castle of Mystras in Laconia. Constantinos Iliadis Kappa Ceramica in recent years, again at the initiative of Constantinos Iliadis, has also been involved in the production of raw bricks.
